TO es el vocablo que se usa en Bribri para significar “huella”, y es exactamente lo que To pretende ser. Una “huella de humanismo”, una “huella de ecología”, una “huella de calidad”, una “huella de compromiso” en fin una huella en un camino a un mundo que “ve la vida de una forma diferente”

DISEÑO
Los mas reconocidos diseñadores de marroquinería han trabajado para hacer que el diseño de TO represente la aventura del rain forest, la pasión de un mundo que está cambiando sus valores, y la funcionalidad, que es resultado de conocer perfectamente las necesidades del usuario.

ECOLOGÍA
Productos To están fabricados en un 98% a base de productos reciclables y biodegradables (algodón, cuero, y bronce). En su producción se ha eliminado el uso de pegamento toxico, y se ha reducido en un 97% el uso de derivados del petróleo. El control de calidad de nuestros productos es inflexible y orientado a la larga duración.

CALIDAD
El diseño simple de TO esta hecho para tener una larga duración. Se ha eliminado el uso de cerraduras de mecanismo y se usan solo los herrajes mas básicos con sistemas talabarteros. El uso del bronce en los herrajes garantiza que no se oxidarán con el tiempo. El control de calidad de nuestros productos es inflexible y orientado a la larga duración.

TO is the word for “footprint” in Bribri, a Costa Rican indigenous language, and that is exactly what TO intends to be: a “footprint for humanism”, a “footprint for ecology”, a “footprint for quality”, a “footprint of commitment”. In summary, TO intends to be a footprint on a road to a world “that sees life differently”.

DESIGN
TO’s designs have been made to represent the adventure of the rain forest and the pasion of a world that is changing its values. The designers, the most renowned in the leather goods industry, have also obtained the maximum functionality, resulting from an accurate knowledge of their customer’s needs.t

ECOLOGY
TO products are manufactured using 98% biodegradable and recyclable products (cotton, leather and bronze). Toxic adhesives have been eliminated from the process and oil products have been reduced by 97%.

QUALITY
TO’s simple design has been made to be long-lasting. The use of mechanical locks has been eliminated and only the most basic ironworks are used. The use of bronze in ironworks guarantees that they will not be oxidized over time. The quality control of our products is inflexible and geared towards the assurance of long duration.

PRISONERHOPE es un programa donde se entrelazan las manos del Privado de Libertad, del Ministerio de Justicia y de la Empresa Privada para crear una esperanzo donde no la hay.

• Los productos TO son confeccionados bajo este programa en las cárceles de Costa Rica bajo los más altos estándares de calidad y diseño permitiendo al Privado de Libertad transformarse en un Microempresario capaz de sustentar su familia durante su condena y después de ella.

• Nuestra meta es eliminar la reincidencia que hoy afecta un alto porcentaje de la población penal.

PRISONERHOPE is a program where the people deprived of liberty, the Department of Justice and the private sector work together to create hope where it is absent.

TO products are made under this program in the Costa Rican prisons. As the people deprived of liberty work under high standards on quality and design they become micro-entrepeneurs able to supply a family during the imprisonment and after it.

Our goal is to eliminate the recidivism that affects today a high percentage of the penitentiary population.
